Rose Cove is in the center of town and does not have it's own free parking area. There is plenty of parking in the vicinity in public lots and private pay lots within short walk to the center of town.
I liked the roll.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere!
Nice place to sit back, relax and watch the summer traffic roll by. I love the fire pits at each table especially as we went later in the evening. Had the fish and chips which was very good. Our service was just right. Not too intrusive but still attentive.
The service and atmosphere was fantastic!!! The food was good but not as good as it should have been for the price!!!
Really loved the atmosphere, service and food. Prices were very reasonable given the beach location and Hannah our server was excellent. I enjoyed their ultimate veggie burger was surprisingly full of flavor. Definitely try a piece of their complimentary homemade fudge while enter, passing by or leaving.
Great food and drinks; friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere. Prices reasonable. Family friendly. Really enjoyed bringing the kids here; but felt like adult dining by all means. Their homemade fudge is tops.
Went into the bar for a drink. Positive experience, tasty drinks and the recent renovations to the bar were amazing. Such a great spot. Kevin (owned by his family) was cool and was very attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating option in the heart of downtown Ogunquit. Menu had a wide variety of offerings. Great location to chill and people watch.
The entire staff is young, attractive and very competent. The bartenders are attentive and willing to please fussy customers... Me! The food is great. The outdoor seating is comfortable and friendly. A great place for a summer meal.
Such a great ambiance, very carefully decorated. Loved the lamps and the 'booths' that make any date more personal and/or romantic if needed. The center rocks on ice really rock and everything we tried was AMAZING. We'll have to come back to try the clam chowder and more cocktails!!! The jalapeño mango sauce goes perfect with the haddock tacos. Loved the presentation of the fish'n'chips. And the dessert was spectacular: Local blackberry pie w vanilla ice cream. Definitely somewhere worth to pay a visit!!!!
Family-run restaurant, friendly staff... Shaved steak sandwich was an excellent, the haddock sandwich was also very very good. They make their own bread! if you're lucky enough you might get some fudge if Mama is there!
Been twice one year apart. Great both times, great service, good food, sit on outside patio 👍
What a beautiful place. Stopped in for drinks and a quick.snack. so glad we did. Bartenders were great and the snacks were excellent.
Rose Cove continues to expand their offering each season, wide variety menu selection, full bar, all outdoor tables have heaters for cooler days/months, and great service/pleasant staff! Salads are delicious, phenomenal broccoli salad, fish tacos, lobster roll, and haddock sandwich always great choices. Love this place, it just keeps getting better!
As other people stated, the atmosphere, fires at the table, fudge samples and decorations here are worth the visit alone. Aside from that, the bartenders and wait staff (shout out to Sam, my mom and I loved you), were amazing. I was craving a lobster BLT, and although not on the current menu, Sam said it would be no issue for the kitchen staff, and it was such an incredibly delicious meal. We overhead this place is owned by a veteran, which only makes us want to continue patronizing when we come back in Ogunquit. Thank you for a great dinner!
Love this place! A must do for dinner out in Ogunquit.
DA"!!! Bomb💣💥 Amazing food and service. Had a beautiful evening 😊
Smallish local restaurant with inside & outside seating. Staff attentive but not intrusive. My chowder was very good. My husband's steak & cheese was generous, and he said good. Sample of delicious fudge upon leaving. Good selection of mostly seafood dishes.
Lobster rolls are not supposed to be on cold round bulkie rolls. They should be on toasted New England hot dog rolls or at a least toasted roll. Clam chowder may not have came out of a can, but Campbell's would have been an improvement. The decor is nice. Two stars.
Friendly staff. We had two fried scallop plates for lunch. They included french fries and a slice of watermelon. Portion size was perfect. Food tasted great. I am not a fan of sitting outside by a busy street. They did a nice job with tents and gas fire pits at the tables. We were offered fudge when we first arrived. We both declined. Neither of us really like fudge. We were offered some again after we ate our meal. This time we tried it. It was delicious! Don't miss out on the fudge or the scallops.
We come to Ogunquit every year and we had never tried Rose Cove Cafe until this year. We have bought fudge in the store before but I was skeptical of it as a restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good and so was the service. I didn't like my drink and he replaced it without question. He was very nice. We were with a party of 7 and everyone was very happy with their meals and appetizers.
We had a great experience there. The server was very kind. He even took down a sunbrella so we can enjoy a better view. Lot's of great local beer.
Cozy atmosphere, fresh food. Attentive staff
I had the lobster roll it was delicious on a homemade bun and the sangria was out of this world perfect for a summer afternoon
Lovely place in downtown good service and food. Very nice atmosphere with there wonderful fire place tables!
Amazing service, amazing food, pretty good prices, and the best lobster role in maine.
Went with my wife and SiL. They had ice tea and a soda. Being the designated drinker, I had Rose Cove Margarita, which was pink and had a hint of rose blossom. It was very good! We all had fish & chips and enjoyed it. The ladies had lava cake for dessert and I blueberry pie. All came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Although my pie was fresh and delicious, I was kind of sorry I didn't get the chocolate because of the sounds the were making. When the check came there was plate with a piece of chocolate fudge and a piece of maple fudge for each of us. Made right in the restaurant and to die for! BTW, our wait person was Gennaro. He was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly.
Loved the place. Especially when the neighboring table's bread basket caught on fire. That wait bus boy was all over it. The fried pickles we good, the gazpacho was great and the flat iron was to die for. I did notice that a few people had undercooked meat for their preference (at the tables near us, and pour own). Overall I would take my bride their again and again.
Great restaurant, service was exquisite (ask for Edie.) This is a must if you are in the area. The sandwiches are made with fresh home made bread that tastes incredible. The drinks are very good and the outside tables have a fire in the center. They are lit around 5pm if you looking for a great atmosphere. The food is great and very filling. The price is average for the area but may be on the higher side depending on your budget, but it is worth it for a great experience. This place is owned by a veteran and his wife. Its been renovated, and his family members work with him. It's a great to stop in and support the local entrepreneur. Try it out, you will love it.
Awesome customer experience! Great food and drinks. Pricing fair we will be back
Loved the outside seating with table firepit. Large menu. Food was great. Friendly staff. Recommend.
Yum. Go here. I asked several locals for recommendations and this seemed to be one of the restaurants that everyone said. They were right. Fish tacos were flavorful, light, and delicious! That day there was a special of a lobster roll with bacon, lettuce and tomato. When it arrived at the table my husband thought it was two orders. You can get a good lobster roll anywhere in Ogunquit but the addition of the quarter inch thick bacon was the key! Even their hand-cut fries were amazing. Plus the waitstaff is awesome.
Staff was very friendly- food was so-so. Ordered a lobster roll which came straight out of the fridge. It was really cold and had obviously been there for a while because the bun was a bit soggy. Very expensive for very little.
So, I will start with saying that the service was absolutely amazing. Really friendly and nice staff (otherwise I would give 1 star). Now the food!!! I ordered Chicken. It. Came undercooked and basically almost raw. They replaced (per my request) with a burger. So the burger was well done (as I asked, did not want to rusk again), however it was TASTELESS. Its not just enough to put peace of meat on a grill. Its about taste and also the salas was dry, dressing to vinegary. Look, I get it its high frequency place in small tourist town. But you still need to put some thoughts into a food you serve and prepare. Make sure its fresh and it has flavor. Its not like they are the only restaurant in the town.
The food was mediocre though I enjoyed the fudge
Excellent place, great atmosphere with the fire on the outside tables, and open later then most. Very friendly staff. Great for a quick late night bite or a big meal. Haddock sandwich was excellent. So we're the coconut shrimp. Will definitely be back!
Fun atmosphere in both the bar area and dining area. Unique Ogunquit experience under tents with fire pits. Food and menu is excellent. Great location and friendly staff.
Wonderful staff, and a clean modern atmosphere. The fried haddock tacos were good. The clam chowder had good flavor, but no clams. The baked haddock was inedible, swimming in an inch of oil and disintegrating at the touch of the fork. Overall, overpriced given the quality, but a decent option for the area if you stick to the fried options.
The good: wait staff, ambience, amazing cocktails (we had the cucumber martini), and scallops wrapped in bacon. The so-so: the fish tacos were dry and bland. Although the outdoor seating was attractive, it was very uncomfortable - the tables were too close together and cemented in place, so two adults could not pull out their chairs enough to fit their legs under. The chairs were too deep (as in curved on the bottom) and rigid. We did mention our complaints to the hostess who was absolutely lovely. Hope they make the adjustments to make the place a real gem!
Amazing Atmosphere, Food, and Service. 10/10. Hanna was an absolute delight as a server!
SERVICE is the highlight of this center of town restaurant, only to be outdone by the QUALITY of the food served here. Stop in and ask for Kevin or Nick. You won^t believe how pleasant the time here can be. Highly recommended!
Sat at the bar for our first visit. A little warm in the bar but bartender turned on the air conditioner immediately. Kevin, our bartender was fabulous. Food was also great.
I love in in Ogunquit, beautiful beaches, nice community of Shops, its a nice experience. After reading some of the 1star comments, i feel really sad for people that actually go out of their way to complain. These are the times we're living in, Woman acting like angry Men and Men acting like miserable Women. We loved this place 👍
Very nice service staff. The food is honest, nothing fancy. The bacon wrapped scallops were good and not overcooked. The hot dog was tasty. The chicken wings were pretty very ordinary. Plain fried. They definitely could use more seasoning although they come with a choice of sauces. The chowder was decent.
Always great. Nick and family has continued the great quality and tradition that Laura fostered and built and he has really elevated the experience to an all new high. A must stop when in OGT!
Nice place to -grab a-fast breakfast...very good coffee
I went here with my wife and friends and had a great time. The service was a little slow, considering it was close to closing time and there weren't many patrons left but the drinks were quite good and I absolutely loved that each table on the patio had it's own open fire!
Working Main Street. Great takeover by Nick. Lovely aesthetics, good food and drinks. Best of luck, we'll be back!!
Service was good and food was very yummy. Haddock tacos were on point!
Lunch first afternoon in Agonquit. Friendly and timely service, portions a little big in my eyes but maybe not others.Food was very good.
Lovely! Fire at the outside tables is just so beautiful, the place is surrounded with gorgeous flowers. The staff are friendly and courteous. The food was amazing!
